For almost a year I've been chained to this town called Lodz. The dread I feel for this place is something I can not describe, but freedom close at hand. It has been to long being torn from my family and I might have realized their importance to me because of it.
A year I have been studying at the university, a whole God damned year. At the beginning I had noone but myself here my friends four hours away, my family in a whole other country.
I felt alienated and freakish...funny it seems now, I kind of feel the same way still.
Maybe it's because I live everyday without privacy, living with two other guys in a room 6x4,5m. It was all new and uncomfortable to me when it began, to a lesser extent still is. Whatever the two coming weeks will bring, for better or worse I do not fear as much as I should cause I know that I will be leaving and I won't have to come back swiftly.
That brings a grin to my lips and a southe wind to my chest.
